About this vintage design furniture
Large mid-century Murano sommerso glass ashtray bowl - Italy, 1960s. ’’Sommerso’’ is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s60s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly caused by a clear layer. Green, light green and clear glass. Height: 7.5 cm; width: 17 cm; depth: 17 cm. Quite heavy (1.1 kg). Very good vintage condition, light traces of use.
