About this vintage design furniture

An iconic armchair, model JH-503, also known as ‘The Chair’ or ‘Round Chair’, was designed by Hans J. Wegner and produced by Johannes Hansen in Denmark, 1949. It was created especially for the Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition and was announced internationally as the ultimate, perfect chair - a contemporary masterpiece. This unique chair features a beautifully sculpted backrest and tapered legs with a seat in an original dark green leather upholstery. The teak frame has been gently restored preserving its original patina. Overall, ‘The Chair’ is in very good original condition, showing some traces of use as shown in pictures.
