About this vintage design furniture

Gispen storage unit from the 5600 series with built-in desk designed by Andre Cordemeyer for Gispen in 1959. The desk even has the original (built-in) light. A timeless and industrial piece that can be used as storage furniture, bookcase, desk, display cabinet and more. The first version was called model 663 and was designed by Wim Rietveld in 1954. Andre Cordemeyer improved the 663 to the 5600 system in 1959. The condition of this cabinet is still very good with normal signs of use and wear. It has been completely disassembled, checked and cleaned. This cabinet has a folding desk (with lamp), storage cabinets with drop down door, three large drawers, one small drawer, various (book) shelves and the original keys. The cabinet can be dismantled and, if desired, can be easily rearranged according to your own choice. Colours: white, red, green and anthracite grey and light grey. Dimensions: h x w x d 137 x 146.5 x 36 cm. Material: metal. The price is for the cabinet only, without the chair. Source: Catalogue Gispen Culemborg Holland (see last photo).
