About this vintage design furniture

Round light oak dining table with new lacquered top, late 1960s The design is attributed to Florence Knoll Basset Featuring a chromed heavy steel base with 3 joint columns The table top has a very nice oak wood grain with beautiful color differentiating and has been re-lacquared twice, so you have the great vintage look but newly lacquered and ready for many more years of intensive use The table top has a nice bevelled edge where you can see the different layers of wood used, so when you look at the table from a distance it has a great appearance Beautiful example of a modern classic design piece With stickerlabel Knoll International Modello Depositato - KIGA S.p.A. ( the sticker has been almost entirely removed but with what is left you can see when it is photographed next to the orginal label that it is the same sticker The high end Italian design firm Gavina SpA was acquired by Knoll in 1968. The so-called Gavina Group operated for Knoll for the next decade, with their Italy-based joint production arm being Kiga SpA. The tabletop can be screwed of for easy transport Very good vintage condition. The sticker label has age related scratches and the chrome has a few chips to edge, see pictures
