"Alfred Cox Mid Century Sideboard Alfred Cox walnut sideboard on raised splayed legs, this item was made by a highly collectable cabinet maker. Alfred Cox was a great designer of post-war British furniture. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftmanship that are much sought after today. The sideboard is labelled by the maker. The sideboard has trumpet handles, generously sized drawers and was sold through the iconic London furniture store, Heals. Circa late 1950s, made in London, UK. Excellent condition, with superb wood grain.

Alfred COX
Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
