About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century Murano Sommerso receptacle designed by Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso (Murano, Italy) in the 1970s. Sommerso (Italian for "submerged") is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s and became very popular in the 1950s and 1970s. The result is a glass with contrasting colors that is usually covered with a transparent layer. Thick and extremely decorative. Colours: brown, yellow and transparent. Dimensions: length: 8 cm; width: 8 cm; height: 5 cm. Can be used as an ashtray or as a display piece on any table. Excellent vintage condition.

About the designer
Flavio POLI
Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was a renowned Italian designer, known for his work in glass. Born in Chioggia, near Venice, Poli studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Venice, where he developed a passion for blown glass.
