About this vintage design furniture

This very comfortable Mid Century side chair, model FT30, is designed by Cees Braakman. It was manufactured in the 60's by UMS Pastoe in the Netherlands. The legs and armrests are made of teak. The seat has just been reupholstered with a new Italian loop fabric and new foam. Cees Braakman, one of the leading Dutch designers of the mid-century, as well as Friso Kramer, Wim Rietveld jr, Kho Liang Le and Martin Visser, were greatly inspired by the work of Charles and Ray Eames.
