About this vintage design furniture

Brasilia short sideboard designed by Victor Wilkins for the British furniture company Gplan. The Brasilia dining room line was designed at the end of the 1960's following the Scandinavian style predominant in the middle of the last century. In 1967, the prestigious furniture designer Victor Bramwell Wilkins designed the Brasilia line for the British furniture firm Gplan. This line includes the short version of the sideboard that has become an icon of Mid-Century design. In this version of the piece, the handles are replaced by metal handles that are embedded in the doors and drawer units, achieving a beautiful contrast between teak wood and metal. It is constructed with four central drawers, a cupboard with a central shelf on the left-hand side and a bar cabinet space with a folding door on the right-hand side. The top drawer is lined with felt and has dividers for cutlery. The wood grain and the delicately turned legs finish off this sideboard for a lifetime. It is in excellent condition, as it has been completely restored. It only has some slight marks on one of the corners of the top and on the interior shelves.
