Vintage wooden farmhouse console, 1940-1950s

Small vintage farmhouse console table of good size circa 40's50's.This very nice piece of contemporary rustic style is simply elegant, classic and modern at the same time. It is made of wood with a walnut finish and comes straight from the Perigord where it was used as a small side table in a farm. It is in its original condition, it has been fully cleaned, treated and polished with linseed oil to preserve its integrity and patina of time. It is solid and stable. There are of course traces and marks of use on the tray, the apron and the legs, but rather than sand it and redo it I preferred to keep its character which makes its charm. Personally I see it very well as a wall console against a large wall, in an entrance, a living room or bathroom, it could also be used in a smaller place or in a kitchenette as a side table or as a dining table or as a small desk for a home office.
