About this vintage design furniture

Mahogany sideboard created by Jules Leleu (1883-1961), French Designer who was famous during the Art Deco period. This piece of furniture, with two doors closing with a nut, is entirely decorated with a Diamond Marquetry in Blond Rosewood. This piece of furniture opens on an interior composed of a Silverware Drawer in the upper part and three Sycamore Shelves with adjustable heights in the lower part. The Front, whose original Lock is in perfect working order, is decorated with Mahogany Columns forming the Leg. The front legs are turned with a large ball and end with brass shoes. The quadrangular Box is underlined by Brass Joncs, which emphasize the forms of this Good. This charming piece of furniture signed Jules Leleu and numbered "23258", is the perfect illustration of the Artistic Style of the French Design of the inter-war period. Era: 1940. Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop. Varnished finish. Ref : 604 S

Jules LELEU

Jules Leleu (1883-1961) was a French interior designer and decorator famous for his Art Deco style. Born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, he began his career working in his father's decorating business before setting up his own firm in 1919.
