About this vintage design furniture
Sleek Service Table made of solid Beech wood, signed Thonet. Michael Thonet (1796 - 1871) was a master cabinetmaker and furniture designer. He was famous for his solid and inexpensive quality bentwood furniture, all of which was mass-produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The shelves of this Art Deco sideboard have wide rounded edges, with slight overhangs and finely curved in the front of the first one. These two shelves are joined and fixed by four Cylindrical turned uprights, resting on feet subtly Curved in their bottom. The Solidity and Elegance, as well as the Quality of the materials that make up this Pretty Side Table are to be underlined. It combines Practicality and Lightness and will be able, in a wink of an eye, to go from the Kitchen to the Dining Room, or from the Living Room to the Terrace. Period: 1930. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Varnished finish. Ref : 457 P Bis
