About this vintage design furniture
Large and lovely midcentury brass candlestick holder shaped as a plate with top circle decoration by Swedish designer Lars Holmström, Arvika, Sweden, 1960s. The holder are for wall hanging and they give a nice shine when the candles are lit. Marked with Lars Holmström, Arvika. This wall candle holder was hand-sculpted in Arvika Sweden. Measures: 71.5cm H x 29cm W x ca 18cm D. Lars August Holmström was born 1894 in Gävleborg and died in Båstad Sweden 1959. He was a great Swedish midcentury artsmith. Lars Holmström participated in the Paris Exhibition and hit here with candlesticks and chandeliers and also with silver work. He is mentioned in French art magazines, where his work is referred to as masterpiece of art.
