About this vintage design furniture
This Bauhaus style bed was produced by Rudolf Vichr in the 1940’s in Czechoslovakia. The set consists of a double bed and two suspended bedside tables. The furniture is veneered with two types of wood - ash and walnut. The frame is made of chromed tubular steel. Mattress base dimensions: 185x160 cm The dressing table shown in the last two photos can be purchased separately.

About the designer
Rudolf VICHR
Rudolf Vichr (1912-2001) was a Czech industrial designer known for his functional and elegant furniture creations. Born in Prague, he studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he was influenced by the Bauhaus movement and modernist designs.
