About this vintage design furniture
Presented for the first time at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1953, this rare two-tiered side table by Mathieu Matégot, also called "telephone table", is made of perforated metal and tubular metal. This example has been partially restored by our partner workshop, one of its welds having been redone (on the lower tabletop, right, see photos). Similar tables were sold at auction in December 2009 at Artcurial and at Phillips in November 2014.
