About this vintage design furniture

Beautiful and iconic pair of rare lounger chairs designed by Gastone Rinaldi in 1954, Italy. The shape of the chairs is sculptural, unique and extraordinary: the two delicate armrests merge to form a very filigree contoured backrest, without restricting the comfort of the seat. The legs of the chairs are very finely designed and form a wonderful symbiosis with the organically shaped seat. For us, this model is an early and pioneering example of a new design direction in Europe. Just as Finn Juhl introduced Danish modernism by redefining design in an extraordinary way with organically shaped furniture, Gastone Rinaldi found soft and ergonomic shapes almost at the same time and projected them onto his models. The two lounge chairs are newly upholstered with a high quality fabric from Dedar. The structure has oak legs, the fabric is made of a natural white-beige bouclé with a soft touch. The chairs were produced between 1955 and 1960 and are both in excellent condition.
