About this vintage design furniture
Hanging lamp by Massive, Belgium 1970s. Jute and teak. Beautiful round hanging lamp with jute inner lining and teak slats and finished with 2 woven ribbons. The lamp has a bakelite fitting E 27 and a ceiling cap. The wiring has been replaced and can therefore be delivered at the desired length. The lamp gives a warm light. The lamp is produced by Massive, this renowned company was founded in the early 20th century in Wilrijk, Belgium by Pieter-Jozef De Jaeck. The company started as a forge and made light fixtures as a side activity, later this became their main activity. In 2009 the company was incorporated into the group of the Dutch Philips. Massive still has branches all over the world. The dimensions: diameter above 38 cm, diameter below 45 cm and height of the lamp 24 cm. The lamp is in very good condition.
