About this vintage design furniture
A beautiful teacher's desk designed by Willy van der Meeren, manufactured by Tubax in Belgium around 1950. The table has a thin black lacquered metal base with a grey formica top. Underneath the top is a black metal shelf that is used to store small items such as papers, staplers, pens and other office items. The minimalist style of this piece makes it a great example of mid-century modern design. It can still be used as a teacher's desk, but it would also work well in any other office space or be a fantastic decorative addition. It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
