About this vintage design furniture
Description: This charming sideboard was designed by Victor Wilkins and produced by the British furniture manufacturing company G-Plan in the mid-20th century. G Plan - E. Gomme Ltd was based in High Wycombe, England, a major British furniture manufacturing centre. The company was revered for its range of high quality sideboards, tables and other cabinetry and for pioneering the creation of bespoke designed and made furniture sets. This piece, part of G Plans' popular 'Fresco' range, includes two single and one double cupboard, as well as two short and one long drawer. The furniture features a beautiful teak grain, warm tones and rich colours. Item Number: Condition: We have carefully stripped this sideboard and refinished it with a coat of matte lacquer for a long lasting finish. We try to portray the condition of our items in our photographs as best we can. Before shipping, all items are carefully cleaned and re-coated with Danish oil to ensure that your item looks its best upon delivery. This item is in very good condition and has no defects. Charles Victor Wilkins (1893-1969) was an American industrial designer known for his work in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Art Students League of New York and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art.
