About this vintage design furniture
A sofa bed designed by Martin Visser, manufactured by 't Spectrum in the Netherlands around 1960. It is a beautiful piece, made of chrome-plated tubular metal and lacquered in high quality black. It has been upholstered in a high quality light beige fabric that fits the room perfectly and gives it a beautiful elegance. The seat depth can easily be increased by lifting and pulling the seat, after which it can be used as a daybed. It is an innovative piece and a true icon of mid-century Dutch design. The slightly sloping backrest and separate arm cushion add to the seating comfort of this very modern and timeless piece. It remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
