Vintage armchair by Peter Hvidt for Pastoe Netherlands 1950s

A beautiful birchwood chair designed by Peter Hvidt, manufactured by Pastoe in the Netherlands. The warm brown colour of the birch wood base combines very well with the green fabric covering of the seat and back. This gives the chair a warm, typical mid-century look The chair is very well finished with beautiful shapes and curves and a slightly sloping and curved backrest for maximum comfort. It remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
