About this vintage design furniture

A nice sofa bed designed by Martin Visser, manufactured by Spectrum in the Netherlands around 1960. This beautiful piece is made of high quality black lacquered metal and has a new upholstery. The grey fabric fits perfectly with this piece. The seat depth can easily be extended by lifting and pulling the seat, after which it can be used as a daybed. This is an innovative piece and a true icon of mid-century Dutch design. The slightly sloping backrest and separate arm cushion add to the seating comfort of this very modern and timeless piece. It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
