About this vintage design furniture

Pair of armchairs ARP (Atelier de Recherche Plastique) Model "642" edition: STEINER in the 50s. Wooden frame on black lacquered metal base with square section. Everything is original, which implies that the rubber straps are tired (or even no longer operational for one of the chairs) and that the foam of the seats is crumbling. The salmon coloured wool cover is a bit pilling on the armrests but still looks good. Not wishing to alter them, the armchairs have been left as they are so as not to alter their originality.
