About this vintage design furniture
These Czechoslovak lounge chairs No. 24-23 were designed by František Jirák for Tatra Nabytok in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The design of these armchairs followed the enormous success of the Czechoslovakian pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels. The armchairs have original armrests made of bent plywood and the wooden frame is made of beech veneer. The upholstery is in its original condition and shows significant signs of age and use - it can be renovated. The price is for the pair Seat height: 36 cm

František Jiránek (1898-1978) was a Czech designer who worked in the 1920s and 1930s. He is best known for his work in furniture design, but also designed objects in glass and ceramics.
