About this vintage design furniture

The plywood elephant was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945. The elephant was produced by Vitra in 2007 to celebrate Charles Eames' 100th birthday. This limited edition is a highly sought-after collector's item, as only 1,000 pieces in natural maple and red-stained maple were produced for the very first time. Each molded plywood elephant was packaged in a special collector's box and its serial number was engraved on a small aluminum plate. This example is serial number 0139, marked with a plate and complete with the original box. Condition: the piece is used, with very light scratches, or minor cosmetic wear, but has no structural issues.
