About this vintage design furniture
String modular shelving system. This shelving system was invented by the Swedish couple Kajsa & Nisse Strinning in 1949. It consists of : 2 deep uprights (102 x 28 cm), 1 upright (102 x 18 cm), 4 shelves (78 x 20 cm), and 1 secretary box (30x42x78 cm). Signs of use, varnish defect around the key and traces of glass inside the secretary. The bottom of the box has been pierced probably to let cables pass. The sides of the cabinet have been discolored by the sun, which is not visible when mounted. This is a modular system, the configuration shown in the picture is only an option.
