Robert "Buck" Brown (February 3, 1936 - July 2, 2007) was an African-American painter and cartoonist, best known for creating the naughty "Granny" character for Playboy magazine.Signed illustration by Robert Brown from the Granny illustration series for Playboy. Illustration framed in a gilded wood mat and frame.Cartoon illustration by Buck Brown Playboy September-1977 Granny Cartoon Original (Playboy, 1977). Granny and Grandpa are a one page gag from the September 1977 issue of Playboy magazine. It was done in gouache on illustration paper with an oval image area of approximately 10 "x 12". Signed on the edge of the oval. The paper is embossed with "Copyright © Playboy" in the lower right corner. It has been adhered to the larger image plate. In excellent condition.
