About this vintage design furniture

Group of 6 dining chairs in beech and leather, designed by Ettore Sottsass for Knoll Studio in 1988. The Bridge Chair owes its name to the structurally functional "bridge" between the vertical legs, referring to the stylistic details popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright, historically indebted to Japanese design. In this sense, Sottsass has continued to quote, in an ironic way, the tropes of architecture and furniture that are loved and accepted, in an intelligent way. Made in Italy at the Knoll factory in Foligno. Two of the chairs are slightly different, with shorter arms than the others.
