About this vintage design furniture
The U-452 Mid Century sideboard with pink and white sliding doors was designed by Czech furniture designer Jiri Jiroutek. It is part of the popular U collection manufactured by Interier Praha in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia. This piece perfectly embodies the "Brussels style", named after the 1958 Brussels Expo, where Czechoslovakia won 13 awards, including one in the furniture category. These sideboards were produced in different versions, colours and sizes. Over the years, they have become highly sought-after pieces and are a perfect representation of Jiroutek's talent for designing practical, popular and iconic furniture. The sideboard is in good vintage condition. There is some light wear on the wood surface (mostly on the top) and on the formica doors acquired over the years.
