About this vintage design furniture
A pair of brass and glass ceiling lights, each consisting of 8 pieces of thick glass attached by brass screws to a brass frame. Solid brass ceiling fixture with brass ceiling cup. Very soft and decorative shine. Wiktor Berndt made these lamps in several sizes and glass colors. Good condition, no chips, scratches or damage to any of the glass prisms. No screws are missing and everything is secure. The brass parts are unpolished and have a typical brass patina. If you prefer the brass to be shiny, you can remove the glass parts and polish them. Wiktor Berndt joined the Flygsfors glassworks in 1955 to design lighting and art glass, and has become the second most famous designer at Flygsfors. Before coming to Flygsfors, he studied at Källströms and then in Murano, Italy. In 1956, when Paul Kedelv left the company, Wiktor became the chief designer, and remained so until his departure in 1974. Standard E 27 bulb sockets. Safety rewiring.
