About this vintage design furniture

LAR armchair in fiberglass designed by Charles & Ray Eames in the 1950s and manufactured at Herman Miller (Vitra) in the 1970s. Vitra obtained a license from Herman Miller in 1957 and then began producing Charles & Ray Eames' designs. LAR stands for Lounge Height Armchair Rod Base or LAR Low Armchair Rod Base. The frame is also called "cat's cradle base". The seat is made of fiberglass (color: light ochre) and has a beautiful visible structure. The condition of this chair is still good with some signs of use and wear; two small cracks at the top of the backrest (not bad for the construction) and a screw under the seat was missing and has been replaced (see pictures). Dimensions: h x w x d 64,5 x 65 x 63 cm, seat height 31 cm. Marked: with V (on the seat) of Vitra and M (on the rubber) Hermen Miller (see pictures). Source: Classic Herman Miller book page 41.
