Vintage mahogany and glass coffee table by Illum Wikkelso for CF Christensen Silkeborg, Denmark 1960

Dimensions: 135x86x54cm (Width x Depth x Height)This Scandinavian coffee table was designed by Illum Wikkelso for CF Christiansen Silkeborg in Denmark in the 1960s. Typical of the best of modern Danish design, the excellent craftsmanship is matched by refined details such as the beautifully carved x-shaped legs and the cut-outs for the hand-cut glass top to rest on. The organically shaped frame is carved from a glossy mahogany wood. The wood parts show only minor signs of wear, mostly on the lower legs. A chip on the underside of the glass top and some minor scratches on the glass top. The wood has been glued and refinished. The overall appearance is very nice.
