About this vintage design furniture
Fantastic mid-century Danish teak dining table, designed by Ib Kofod Larsen, for Faarup Mobelfabrik in the 1960s. The piece is made entirely of teak from the top, to its edges and legs, this dining table is an exemplary model of Kofod Larsen's impeccable designs and highly sought after pieces. The impressive construction of the table and the beautiful grain patterns of the wood, juxtaposed with the very specific elements of its design, makes it a truly remarkable piece. The table is overall, in very good original condition, with some light age and use marks commensurate with time, on the table top, edges and legs, but nothing that detracts from its beauty (see photos next to a penny for perspective.) The patina is also consistent with age and use. The table is solid, sturdy and functional and the legs can be removed if needed. It has been gently cleaned and polished to maintain the integrity of the original patina. The extensions are not present. We have photographed it completely open, so that one can note the difference in length, if one chooses to have extensions made. An incredible and timeless piece of mid-century modern design history that will only complement the other MCM pieces. The price shown takes into account the fact that extensions are not included.
