Rise-and-fall pendant light designed by Fritz Schlegel for Lyfa Danish architect Fritz Schlegel designed this bell-shaped light for Lyfa, called the P295, but better known as the Schlegel-lamp, in 1938. It remained in production for more than four decades.

About the designer
Frits SCHLEGEL
Frits Schlegel (1896-1965) was a Danish designer known for his work in the 1930s and 1940s, which contributed to the creation of the Danish modern style. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and worked in the studio of Kaare Klint, one of the most famous Danish designers of the time. Schlegel then set up his own workshop in 1926 and began producing furniture in collaboration with other leading designers.
