About this vintage design furniture

Sommerso Murano glass vase designed by Flavio Poli and produced in Murano, Italy in the 1960s. "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-60s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. Colours: red, yellow and clear. Dimensions: height - 21 cm; depth - 9 cm; width - 6 cm. Very good vintage condition.

Flavio POLI

Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was a renowned Italian designer, known for his work in glass. Born in Chioggia, near Venice, Poli studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Venice, where he developed a passion for blown glass.
