About this vintage design furniture
The Tenera series was designed in the late 1950s by Nils Thorsson (1898-1975) for Aluminia, whose name was changed to Royal Copenhagen in 1969. The decorations in this series were designed by other artists. Thus, the decoration in blue tones mixing birds and foliage of this earthenware dish is due to the Norwegian artist Kari Christensen (1938-1997). It is marked under the base: 144 for the decoration and 2885 for the shape and the initials of Kari Christensen. The small bar under the "G" of the word "COPENHAGEN" indicates that it was produced between 1969 and 1973.
