About this vintage design furniture
The club armchair B3 was designed by Marcel Breuer in the years 1925-1926 when he was head of the carpenter’s workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau. Until 1929 the chair was manufactured by Breuer’s company Standard-Mobel Lengyel & Co., then by Thonet. Decades later the chair became well-known as the “Wassily Chair” when it was relaunched by the Italian manufacturer Gavina (from 1968 Knoll). The chair with the strikingly airy design consists of a chrome-plated tubular steel frame with a firm, smooth leather cover in black. Made in Italy. Design: Marcel Breuer, manufacturer: Gavina (branding on the leather and on the frame).Seat height 40 cm. Good condition with slight signs of usage.
