About this vintage design furniture
This set of five silver-plated serving pieces was designed by Gio Ponti in the 1950s. All are engraved with a crest and monogram and stamped "Fratelli Calderoni-Cronisil". The set was made for the Swiss Hotel in Como.Stamps engraved under each piece.

About the designer
Gio PONTI
1891 - 1979Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
