About this vintage design furniture
Iconic candlestick from the Ikora line designed by Kurt Radtke for WMF in 1961. Kurt Radtke is the successor and apprentice of one of the Bauhaus gurus, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, and the items designed by him are universal, simple and elegant. Two-armed candlestick made of silver-plated brass, additionally brushed. The Ixor flower, known as the "flame of the jungle", was the source of the name and inspiration for a whole range of unique items that came from WMF designers from the late 1920s to the mid-1970s. Candlestick signed with an embossed signature. Item in good condition, with few silvering scratches. Two copies available.
