About this vintage design furniture

These chairs were designed in Italy by Umberto Mascagni, in the 1950s. The chairs are made of beige foam and black brass in the form of a leg, which can be removed. In 1952, Mascagni created a new line of furniture using new materials. These chairs were sold by Harrods in London in the 1950s.

About the designer

Umberto MASCAGNI

Umberto Mascagni is an Italian designer born in 1948 in Viareggio, Tuscany. He graduated from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 1972, where he studied sculpture and painting. After graduating, he worked as an industrial designer for several Italian companies.
