Modern vintage chess set in gold and silver, Italy 1970

This elegant and stylish mid-century Italian gold and silver chess set is truly stunning. The pieces are made of layers of gold and silver on putty resin and are in fantastic condition. It bears the Italian hallmark "800" for the silver and "R" for the resin. The set, designed in the 1970s by the Ottaviani studio, is breathtaking. I tried to capture this in the images. The king measures 9 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm. The measurements of the wooden board are 50 x 53 x 8 cm high. The chess board has velvet covered compartments inside to store the beautiful and well protected pieces.The chess set will be shipped internationally with insurance in a custom made wooden box.
