About this vintage design furniture
A Beautiful Pair of High Quality Leather Armchairs and Matching Footstool, by English Manufacturer; Gimson and Slater. Gimson and Slater were a small quality company making contemporary sofas and chairs of exceptional quality in the 1960s and 1970s. The set was purchased new in 1972 from Selfridges - the original sales invoice is included in the sale. The Armchairs are in good condition, with a lovely worn patina. One armchair and the footstool sit on casters, however the second chair has had the casters replaced with wooden feet. The set is in good vintage condition and is super comfortable, but does show signs of wear to the leather seats and the base from constant use.
