About this vintage design furniture
Vintage bedside table with drawer and storage from the 50's.The piece is made of beech wood with a golden oak veneer. The compass legs are made of solid wood. The design is typical of the "reconstruction period" (after World War II), in the early 50's, when furniture makers had to make furniture with what was available at the time. They made sober, elegant and practical furniture. The piece is in overall good original condition with signs and marks of age and use on the top, legs and frame (see photos). Nice patina of age. Some veneer repairs at the very end of the left edge and the front edge (see photos). The beautiful warm and cozy honey color remains elegant and soft. The drawer has a nice bakelite pull knob, opening and closing perfectly. The inside of the drawer is clean with some old precious use marks (see photo). The piece has only been gently cleaned to retain its beautiful patina. All legs are removable. The bedside is solid, sturdy and stable. The legs will be unscrewed for easy transport. Dimensions of the drawer 33cm X 23cm Storage size 39 cm X 28 cm
