Husum chair designed by the Danish architect Frits Schlegel in 1930 for a Danish primary school in the town of Husum. The chair is produced by Fritz Hansen, the seat is in elm, the backrest in beech and the frame in beech. The chair is in good condition and shows slight signs of use.

About the designer
Frits SCHLEGEL
Frits Schlegel (1896-1965) was a Danish designer known for his work in the 1930s and 1940s, which contributed to the creation of the Danish modern style. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and worked in the studio of Kaare Klint, one of the most famous Danish designers of the time. Schlegel then set up his own workshop in 1926 and began producing furniture in collaboration with other leading designers.
