About this vintage design furniture
Manschette glass vase (cuff) designed in the late 1970s by Michael Boehm for the German company Rosenthal. Vase from the studio line series. A collector’s item in very good original condition, with slight signs of use. The vase has an engraved signature in the base. Dimensions: height 33 cm diameter 9 cm base diameter 8 cm inlet diameter 8 cm Dimensions in inches: height 13 in diameter 3.5 in base diameter 3.1 in inlet diameter 3.1 in Michael Boehm is one of the most famous glass designers in Germany. Its aim is not only to produce sophisticated glasses in an artistic and aesthetic sense, but also to constantly develop standards and quality in glass art. Boehm has been working for Rosenthal since 1966. In 1966, he built the Rosenthal glass studio and created significant glass art, the "Glass Collage" bowl (100 pieces), the "Reticelli", "Olympus" or "Champagne Caprices" series of glass. In 1982 he was commissioned to design lights for the Rosenthal Theater. His work was also commercially successful, for example the "Papyrus" and "Maître 1366" glass series for the Rosenthal studio-line.
