Curt FISCHER

Fischer is best known for his innovative lighting designs, which were widely disseminated and appreciated in artistic circles of the time. His designs, often inspired by geometric shapes and modernity, were exhibited at several major exhibitions, including the 1937 Paris World Fair.

Curt Fischer was also a founding member of the association of German industrial designers known as the Deutsche Werkbund. After the Second World War, he worked for the Danish design company Louis Poulsen and continued to develop innovative lighting fixtures until his death in 1956.
