About this vintage design furniture
Superb Serpentine sofa, very elegant and refined, designed by Vladimir Kagan in 1950. This beauty was made in the 1980's and has been re-upholstered with this fabulous aquamarine mohair wool. Please note that aquamarine is one of the most difficult colours to capture on a photo. The colour may therefore be slightly different from the actual colour, but trust me, the sofa is breathtaking. Serpentine sofa of the German-born American Vladimir Kagan. Made for Club House Italia as part of their New York collection. Kagan has made a name for himself with his extravagant designs, taking a turn in modernism in the direction of biomorphic and fluid forms. His most famous creations, the serpentine sofa and curvilinear rocking chairs, are the perfect illustration of this. He attracted attention as early as the 1940s in New York City, with renowned clients such as Marilyn Monroe, Gary Cooper and Andy Warhol. His furniture is sold all over the world as high-quality collectors' items. The sofa is shipped insured overseas in a custom-made wooden crate. The cost of the transport arranged by us is included in the wooden crate.
