About this vintage design furniture
These Czechoslovak lounge armchairs No.24-23 were designed by František Jirák for Tatra Nabytok in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960´s. The design of these chairs followed the huge success of the Czechoslovak pavilion at the Brussels Expo 58. The armchairs features an original bent plywood armrests and the wooden structure is in beech veneer. These items are in excellent condition, fully refurbished including new filling and fabric and the wood has been refinished and varnished. Price is for the pair Seat height: 43 cm

Frantisek JIRAK
František Jiránek (1898-1978) was a Czech designer who worked in the 1920s and 1930s. He is best known for his work in furniture design, but also designed objects in glass and ceramics.
