About this vintage design furniture
This Amanta armchair has the very nice reed green cord upholstery with a white fibreglass shell. The fabric cover is in good condition and has small stains on the seat cushion. Only the body cushion shows signs of wear on the underside. The fibreglass shell shows slight signs of wear. The Amanta chairs can be placed individually or as a module as a group of sofas. The Italian manufacturer C&B Italia was founded by Cesare Cassina and Piero Busnelli and fully taken over by Busnelli in 1973. At that time, the company was renamed B&B Italia. The Amanta armchair was designed by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia in 1963 and is one of his most famous creations.
