About this vintage design furniture
Minimal and pure dining table, T88W, Wengé, Maarten Van Severen, own production, Belgium 1988 Important and limited edition dining table, only 5 or 6 were made by Maarten in his own workshop. Delivered with certificate and provenance. The architecture presents the table in its purest, yet elegant form and with the right proportions. This table has been produced only to order with a choice of three finishes: oak, aluminium or the most exclusive wenge. Maarten Van Severen (1956-2005) is one of Belgium's best-known contemporary designers. At the end of the eighties he started designing furniture in his own workshop in Ghent. His creations are simple, clear and well thought-out. They reflect his quest for perfection in form, detail and execution. He prefers to call himself a maximalist - someone who relentlessly devotes all his energy and resources to achieving the desired result, even if it ultimately and perhaps inevitably seems minimalist.
