Magnificent mid-century French vase, in blue crystal, in the shape of a quilted flower, dating from the 1960s. It has a beautiful blue colour that changes from azure blue to royal blue, depending on how it is seen under a certain light, or the colour of the surface on which it is placed. It is in wonderful condition, original, with very slight traces of age and use proportionate to time. The piece is designed in the style of other quilted flowers manufactured by VMC. On its base are the words "Made In France", with the number "5", which could indicate a model number (see photo.) This particular design, has 31 holes. It has been cleaned only slightly from the original patina. A truly exquisite piece of jewelry that will shine whether it is used as intended, as a paperweight, to place pens or pencils. or as a decorative object to be exhibited.
